August alone

Well only "alone" if you don't count my amazing girlfriend A and her delicious little two-year-old daughter M. It's just the three of us here and it's been very good for me to bond better with M. I really am falling in love with her.

Workwise I was dreading being stuck here in humid Manhattan almost all of August. If it weren't for A I would take advantage of this freedom from the kids and high tail it to Costa Rica and surf and write for the month, but instead I'm writing my butt off here at home. It's been good for me and feels wonderful. I'm diving back into one of my favorite scripts but I think it is so much more nuanced and funny and moving than ever. Plus, the weather hasn't been so oppressive of late so after writing well in the morning I still have an entire summery afternoon to play with my girls.

Thanks for the update, Father of the Year! That's great you're getting a chance to spend some one on two time with A and M :)

Can't wait to see your new script on the big screen!

Happy to hear all is good.
