Good News!
Hurray! Barnes & Noble finally came through and put in a big order of the book. I'm told now that there should be no problem finding Bedtime Stories in B&Ns. Thank you all so much for helping convince them that there was an audience out there for my story.
Here at home I've been consumed with taking care of Ava. I thought she had Fifth's Disease, a common childhood ailment. Instead she had strep. For my kidneys that can be a bit dangerous so I'm now paranoid that I have a sore throat. She, on the other hand, luxuriated at home all day watching no less than three pay-per-view movies, Bratz, No Reservations and some update of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves with Amanda Bynes and set in college. I love her to pieces but her tween taste in films drives me nuts. Last weekend she convinced me to take her to College Road Trip with Raven Symone. As a professor of screenwriting I have to tell you my sensibilities were mightily offended. If I had my way the half-dozen credited writers on that piece of junk would be disbarred from the Writer's Guild.

Hope the family is feeling better!
Oh my, Mae has been begging me to take her to College Road Trip. Excuse me, but you're not even eight yet!
Congrats on B & N.

Yay for Bedtime Stories! So happy to hear the good news about B&N, Trey! Prayers and positive vibes that you don't get strep. More prayers for a fast recovery for Ava! My young daughter also loves those tween movies and she loved College Road Trip :)
I didn't think it was funny throughout, but there were some good laughs and some tender father and daughter moments I thought :)
At least Raven herself is a good role model for young girls. You never hear of any scandals or negative news about her.
Yay for Dads and daughters!

Hi Rachel,
The film is harmless enough. Ava delighted in saying that the overbearing dad reminded her of me.

Congratulations on B&N! I am reading Beadtime Stories, and I am enjoying it immensely (though I have to admit there are times-frequently, really-when I say out loud, "Dude. For Real?")
Welcome to a taste of the tween life! I have a 10 year old, and it only gets worse :-)
Blessings to you and your family!

I took my four and six year old daughters. My six year old giggled throughout. My four year old got bored half-way during the movie. I was bored after the popcorn was gone! D

Thanks for the warning on College Trip, though I do think your tastes in film and books are a bit more harsh than the usual layman. Just stopping in as usual to see what you're up to.
